Scout's October

Scout has had a busy October! We spent a lot of time together with family. He has shown much interest in the sheep at the farm and played with his pals - Lily, Harley & Maggie.

We visited his breeder, Garrett, and saw Ballantyne & Brewer. These pups have all grown so much! Garrett and I decided to neuter Scout so I can concentrate on obedience & performance events with him. Things are kinda slow right now as I wait for this baby to be born but Scout and I have been working on some basics for now.

Also, their momma Ell just completed her championship with a five point major! Congrats mom! :)

Scout is a great member of our family - I cannot tell you how much we love this puppy! Scout was neutered last Thursday and has been wearing a cone because he was bothering his stitches. I think he is over that now - he is just happy to not be wearing that cone (although he found creative ways to do things with it on). He was also microchipped because I am a big fan of those.

It's been awhile since I've posted so I snapped a couple photos of Scout playing inside. We'll be doing some drop-in conformation classes next week so we'll see how things go. Also, another obedience class is in our future.





Yes, the toenails got a trim after these pictures. They grow like weeds!

Our attempt at stacking...

I finally have a picture of Scout somewhat stacked. I think his back legs need to be back farther but otherwise I think it is a good representation! He is very good about letting me position him but it's hard to get "the ears".



I really like "Ebonwald's Blazing A Trail"! We roasted marshmallows tonight and Scout was happy to lay between us by the fire and play with Harley (our golden).

Registered Name

I think his name should be

Ebonwald's Blaze A Trail "Scout"
or Ebonwald's Be Prepared "Scout"

Scout's Growing Up!

Let's hope they stay up! Scout was so excited to get the tape off his ears and sat very nicely.
